Last year, I married my first crush ever. My childhood dream. The type of relationship between two youngsters who ignore each other with the hopes that one day, one of you would speak first. It didn’t work out the way I planned.
Life went on and we married other people. Those relationships didn’t get a happily ever after as one would have hoped, but you have to be careful of what you ask for. For myself, I was fortunate enough to have a child from that union who really keeps my mind SHARP.
Back to love.
Granted it took having to get divorced and subsequently playing online dating roulette for my new spouse to find me. And after several years of building our adult friendship, we finally said our “I do’s”, and cannot recall a happier time.

Whether it’s your first, fourth (Or more – not everyone has a happily ever after) this date is for you and it’s better (read cheaper) than Valentine’s day.
National Spouses Day is observed annually on January 26th. Bet you didn’t know that.
It’s a day dedicated to recognizing our spouses everywhere. The premise of this day is to remind us to make time for our spouse.
A simple way to celebrate National Spouse Day is to let your spouse know how thankful you are to them for –the fulfillment and security of being in a long-term relationship with them and the support and happiness that spouses can give.
This day is a time to show your spouse that you care and appreciate all of the things that he/she does for you and for the home.
One important rule:
No gifts allowed. NONE.
National Spouse Day is a non-gift giving day, and opportunity to spend time together and reconnect. Please remember to say, “I love you.”
